A380 in Devon to close tonight for maintenance work

A stretch of the A380 is set to close again tonight (Tuesday, June 25) as maintenance work takes place. Road closures on the major A-road will be in place every night until Thursday (June 27).

The A380 will be shut in both directions between Eagle Farm and Splatford Split from 8pm tonight until 6am tomorrow (June 26). Devon County Council said the repair work will include re-tensioning the crash barriers, line marking, grass cutting, gully emptying, bridge inspections and other general highway maintenance works.

The same stretch of the A380 will also be closed tomorrow night from 8pm until 6am on Thursday. The following diversion routes will be in place:

Northbound

A380 Eagle Farm via B3195 Exeter Road Kingsteignton, B3193 Strap Lane, B3193 Kingsteignton Road heading towards Chudleigh Knighton, B3344 Plymouth Road, A38 to Exeter.

Southbound

A38 Splatford Split interchange via A38 on-slip at Chudleigh Bridge, B3344 Plymouth Road, B3193 Kingsteignton Road, B3193 Strap Lane, B3195 Exeter Road, A380 Eagle Farm.
