Angry man denied a haircut assaults woman at Cotswolds barbershop

An investigation has been launched after a man threw a hot drink over a woman in a barbershop in Bourton-on-the-Water. It was reported to police that a man, believed to be between the ages of 40 and 45, grew aggressive with a member of staff at Zena The Barbers in the George Moore Community Centre in the village.

The man entered the barber shop at around 8.20am on Saturday, May 18, and reportedly became aggressive with a staff member after being told there were no available appointments. He then threw a hot drink over the woman, before pushing her against a wall and verbally abusing her.

The victim was left shaken but uninjured by the incident, Gloucestershire Police said. Officers are appealing for information to help identify the man involved.

The offender was described as being a man between the ages of 40 and 45 who was around 6ft tall and had dark hair and a beard. At the time of the incident he was wearing a light blue polo top and dark blue jeans.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has mobile phone footage to contact police online by completing the following form and quoting incident 75 of 21 May.
