Ant McPartlin's sweet baby name tribute from best pal Dec Donnelly

Ant McPartlin received a sweet tribute from his best pal Declan Donnelly when he named his "ray of light" baby son. Dec welcomed his second child with wife Ali Astall in 2022 and they honoured their close friend when revealing the baby's name.

They described Jack Anthony Alphonsus as "a very welcome ray of light". Jack, shares his middle name with Dec's best mate Ant, whilst the name Alphonsus pays tribute to Dec's late father.

Ant is now reportedly waiting for the arrival of his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett and a body language expert has mentioned that he seems "protective" when seen out together. Recently, the happy couple joined Jamie Redknapp and his wife Frida Andersson for a double date, reports OK!.

Speaking to the Mirror, body language specialist Judi James remarked: "Anne-Marie looks so relaxed and happy in these poses, smiling broadly as she cradles her bump with one hand, suggesting high levels of delight at her pregnancy but also the levels of calm you might expect from someone who has given birth twice before."

In a sweet photo, Ant's facial expression indicated some anxiety, but the wide grin that appeared when he looked at the baby bump suggested not just pride and excitement, but also an early bond with his unborn child.

This comes after Ant confirmed his impending fatherhood, explaining the reason behind Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway being put on hold. In an interview with Fault magazine earlier in February, he stated: "On a more personal level, part of the reason we're pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family."

"We've both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit. We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now."

At present, Ant plays the role of stepdad to his wife Anne-Marie's two children from her first marriage.
