Pipp&Co, a brand famous for its artisan doughnuts, is opening a cafe on College Green. The Swindon-based company has been described by many of its customers as serving up some of 'the best' doughnuts around.

Known for selling freshly handcrafted doughnuts at selected markets, independent shops and restaurants in Bristol, Stroud and Oxford, among others, this new venture will be Pipp&Co's first cafe. It will be situated in the site of a former employment agency and will open on Monday, July 8.

Signage has already appeared outside the branch, which can be found next to Tesco Express at the bottom of Park Street. BristolLive has contacted Pipp&Co for more information.

To give you an idea of some of the treats customers can look forward to, items on the Pipp&Co website currently include the likes of Belgian chocolate mousse cruffins, cinnamon rolls, and doughnut selection boxes. The brand announced that it was opening its very first cafe in Bristol last month, taking to its social media pages to share a photo of what looked like the inside of the new cafe being renovated.

The team wrote: "When we took over Pipp&Co in 2015, our dream was to one day open a café where you can enjoy our artisan doughnuts, pastries and organic coffee. While the journey has taken a bit longer than planned, we are beyond excited to finally see this dream become a reality!"

In the comments section, the team confirmed the cafe would "be based central by College Green" and added they hoped this would be "the first, not the only cafe".
