A baggage handler has been charged with 286 counts of mischief after he deliberately swapped the luggage tags on hundreds of bags, sending them to wrong destinations across the globe.

Tay Boon Keh allegedly began swapping tags at Singapore’s Changi Airport on November 8 last year and continued for three months before his mischievous activities were eventually discovered.

During his three month spell, luggage that was originally destined for Hong Kong, Manila and London ended up in a variety of different locations, with his actions affecting passengers flying on SilkAir, Lufthansa, and Singapore Airlines.
