How Barry’s Gym is Celebrating its 25th Anniversary
Barry’s — the bootcamp-inspired gym and fitness studio — has a big birthday coming up and a whole slate of calorie-burning activities to celebrate it.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Barry’s, long a Hollywood-favored and celebrity supported institution, will toast its milestone 25th anniversary with a massive VIP party on Oct. 5. Set for Red Studios in Hollywood, the bash is expected to host more than 800 influencers, tastemakers, celebrities and clients, all of whom will be treated to beats by celebrity DJ Diplo, sips by Don Julio and snaps against the backdrop of a red carpet.

Those not too hungover to participate can plan to attend five mega fitness classes on Oct. 6-7 inside a 100,000 square-foot studio that will be designed to mirror the gym’s notable “Red Room.” The space will feature Woodway treadmills, floor spots for 225 clients per class, a live DJ, and more than 1,000 of Barry’s most loyal FitFam members, celebrities and influencers.
As part of the festivities, the Run x Lift classes will be taught by Barry’s well-known instructors along with Joey Gonzalez, Barry’s global CEO. He’s been busy as of late, too, as the franchise has new locations opened or in the works for Brooklyn Heights, Scottsdale, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Newport and Studio City.
Since opening 25 years ago, Barry’s has hosted the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, David and Victoria Beckham, Harry Styles, Sandra Bullock, Lady Gaga, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel, Hugh Jackman, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence and countless others. No word yet on whether the celebration will feature calorie-laden birthday cake.
