Battle Of The Small Screen Sirens! The Ladies Of Television Dazzle On The Red Carpet At The National Television Awards

It's probably the biggest night for the stars of television, so it's no wonder they made an effort for it.

Soap stars, TV presenters and co-hosts graced the red carpet on Wednesday night at London's O2 Arena for the National Television Awards, but it was the ladies who stood out the most.

Ignoring the cold weather and a recent flurry of snow, the females of British television flashed the flesh as they hoped to win an award on the night.

First up to wow the crowd was Caroline Flack, who shunned her usual shorts and top combination for a stunning dress that still showed off her perfect pins.

The Xtra Factor presenter teamed the patterned garment with black heels and bright red lipstick as she posed for photographers before heading inside.

Also showing off their legs was Coronation Street star, Samia Ghadie, who is currently starring on Dancing On Ice.

The actress has clearly lost weight during her time on the ice, and showed off her slender figure in a bright coloured bodycon dress.

However, although many of the famous ladies shunned the thought of wearing a warm Winter coat, many of them did opt for floor length dresses.

Leading the way in a simple yet chic number was This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby who paraded her curves along the red carpet.

The mother-of-two teamed the dress with bright red lipstick and heavy black eyeliner as she grinned for the cameras.

Also wearing black was X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, but she couldn't resist showing off some leg too with the help of a thigh-high split.

The former Pussycat Doll teamed it with long curly locks, a gold statement necklace and peep-toe heels as she posed with her hand on her hip.

Joining her on the red  carpet was her fellow band mate, Ashley Roberts, who is currently on the Dancing On Ice panel.

The US singer looked angelic in a floor-sweeping white dress that featured a detailed neckline and a netted skirt.

She kept the rest of her look minimalistic wearing no jewellery and neutral make-up.

Fellow DOI lady who kept in simple was former Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley.

The Northern Irish star looked lovely in a floor-length red dress that featured cut-out lace detail at the side.

Another famous face who chose to wear a slinky long gown was Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton.

The mother-of-one stood out in a dark blue glittery dress which she matched with a red oversized clutch bag.

The Only Way Is Essex may not have picked up an award at the annual ceremony, but luckily the stars of the show still got the chance to show off their outfits.

Sam Faiers opted for elegance in a sweeping black glittery dress as she posed with boyfriend Joey Essex, while theoir co-star Jessica Wright went for a white halterneck backless number.

Also in attendance at the event was Jessica's brother Mark Wright who looked his usual suave self, as well as Lucy Mecklenburgh and fiancé Mario Falcone.
