BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Fleur East gives 'excited' update as she shares reunion after major news

Fleur East has said she's 'excited' as she was seen enjoying a virtual reunion with her sister after major news. It comes after the Strictly Come Dancing star made another exciting family announcement over the weekend, just weeks after giving birth to her first child.

Fleur and her husband Marcel Robin announced over Easter that they had welcomed a daughter, named Nova, into the world after singer and presenter Fleur revealed they were expecting at the end of last year when she debuted her blossoming baby bump.

But she has since shared the joyous news that her sister Keshia has got engaged to her boyfriend Connor. Fleur reposted a video on her Instagram Story of her younger sibling showing off her dazzling diamond engagement ring while on holiday with her beau.

Keshia had shared her big news on her own Instagram and alongside a string of photos and videos of the loved-up newly-engaged couple, she penned: "I got a rock in Jam Rock." Fleur the reshared the post and wrote: "My lil sis is engaged!" Congrats @keshiaeast_ and Connor xxx."

But the pair have since come together for a little joint work project with Fleur revealing they're set to appear on Vicky Pattison's The Secret To podcast. Sharing a picture of her screen showing the trio on Zoom, reality star and presenter Vicky said: "Next up are the gorgeous East sisters.... love you lasses!!"

She added: "@keshiaeast_ and @fleureast coming soon to @thesecrettopod." Fleur then reshared the post and said: "Excited for people to hear this chat! Thanks for having us @vickypattison."

It comes after Fleur said she's not ready to talk about the birth of her first child just yet as she returned to her radio show for the first time since going on maternity leave. The new mum caught up with her Hits Radio pal James Barr and stand-in host Angelica Bell last week and during their chat, Fleur brought her Hits Radio family up to date with her life as a new mum, having given birth to baby Nova just three weeks ago, and listeners were treated to a little gurgle from Nova herself.

"It’s so weird to talk to other adults - I’ve been talking in a baby voice for so many weeks now," Fleur said. "The first week was a complete blur, I was just a walking zombie, I didn’t know what was going on. I felt like I was a milk machine for seven days straight, but now I’m adjusting I feel a little bit more human. It’s going to take some time but I’m enjoying it a lot more now."

It is then when she commented: "I can't go into it [the birth] I need some time to get over it to be honest. It’s funny because there’s a spot in my living room that every time I walk past, I’m reminded of exactly where Nova was born and that makes it a little harder to get around!"

Fleur added: "I think she has the Fleur East vocals - her pitch and tone are very clear. When she starts crying it’s like OK those lungs are working - she can project very well... Loads of people say to me you’re never going to remember life without her, and I try to but it’s very hazy, it feels like it’s in the distant past. And it is weird now, I can’t imagine going day to day without Nova in my life. It’s very strange but amazing!"
