Giovanni Pernice issues a brief yet poignant message to his fans as they await news as to whether he'll return to Strictly Come Dancing. The dancer is currently busy touring the country in his own headline show which began earlier this year.

Giovanni, who has appeared in the BBC One dance contest since 2015, kicked off his Let Me Entertain You tour in Hayes at the Beck Theatre in mid-January before he began travelling up and down the country with the tour is set to continue until the end of April when it will close on April 30 at New Victoria Theatre in Woking.

But once that show, which sees him alongside Strictly co-star and 'leading lady' Lauren Oakley, comes to end, Giovanni won't have too much time to relax as he'll be back on the road from mid-June alongside Anton Du Bekein their new show, Anton & Giovanni Together - The Live Tour.

In the meantime, he's still hitting the stage with his own tour and during each of the live shows, he lets his audience be featured in a video posted to his Instagram Story.

However, on Tuesday night (April 16), he shared a video of himself first in which he could be seen revelling in the applause and cheers from the crown who had packed out the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.

Alongside the video, the 33-year-old typed to his 1.1 million followers: "You are my strength!" before adding a GIF which said 'I Love You' in a pumping red love heart.

Giovanni has continued to be supported by his fans and followers despite rumours about his time on Strictly following his abrupt exit from the 2023 series last year. He recently addressed his most recent partnership with Amanda Abbington which came to an early end.

The actress hit the headlines last year when she quit the BBC One dance contest weeks into the 2023 series. She pulled out of one of the live shows of the series, despite impressing with her moves, due to 'medical reasons'. Amanda and Giovanni were due to return for the contest during the annual Halloween special, however, it was announced beforehand that Amanda would be leaving the competition due to 'personal reasons'.

While neither had directly spoken out about what happened, Giovanni finally shared his thoughts earlier this month and said it was a "shame" that Amanda left the show early as he feels they could have "gone all the way". Asked if he is a perfectionist, he agreed but said it comes from a place of "caring". The Italian star said: "I am a perfectionist." He continued: "100%, but it comes from a perspective of caring.

"In every single part of the world, if (you’re) a professional dancer, we have to get these people on the Saturday night looking the best as they can”, he added. And if we get to have good scores at the end, I look back and say ‘I’ve done a great job’. We all care about our partners and we all want to look great on the Saturday."
