Snow set to hit Britain AGAIN over Easter as freezing temperatures return for third time
The clocks have gone forward and spring is officially here, but the recent spells of ice-cold weather are set to make a comeback just in time for Easter.
Snow is forecast for parts of the country over the coming days, according to the Met Office.
Scotland and the north-east of England could see more snow as cold air from Scandinavia arrives on UK shores.

The Met Office warned of unsettled weather throughout the Easter weekend, including a chance of snow and overnight frost.
The Met Office’s Laura Paterson said: ‘The evolution of this system during the middle of the week is uncertain but it does appear increasingly likely to herald the start of another cold spell for many parts of the UK.
‘Despite uncertainty regarding the timing and onset of this change, the signal that colder conditions will develop into the Easter weekend has remained consistent.’

However, with spring conditions and strong sunshine also out in force, the roads and transport networks are not likely to be hit as hard as when the freezing weather first struck.
Ms Paterson added: ‘We’re now a lot further into spring than at the beginning of March.
‘The ground is warmer, the sun is stronger because it is higher in the sky and we have more hours of daylight at the end of March compared with the beginning of the month.
‘All of these factors are likely to subdue the impact of any snowfall.’
The Met Office said that the weather may become more settled across northern parts, but southern parts are ‘still likely to see showers or longer spells of rain at times’.
