A bed and breakfast has been awarded with a sixth prestigious Tripadvisor award.

The Mill in Long Melford shared it has won a Travelers' Choice Award for 2024.

The gong is given to businesses which receive a high number of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions on the review website.

Tripadvisor said reviews from millions of travellers mean The Mill is in the top 10% of hotels worldwide.

It is the sixth year in a row the bed and breakfast has won the accolade, having first received it in 2019.

Earlier this year The Mill was also named the best boutique guest house in the Travel and Hospitality Awards.

The bed and breakfast located next to Melford Hall offers guests a cosy stay with only two rooms available - the Garden Room and the Melford Room.

Both are on the ground floor and separate from the main house of the owners, with individual entrances offering privacy.

It also offers free use of kayaks and bicycles to explore the River Stour and the nearby market town of Sudbury.
