Big Brother star defends Jordan and Henry against showmance accusations

Big Brother star Trish Balusa has defended co-stars Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan amid accusations that their romance was all for the cameras.

The pair, who finished in first and third place respectively, were close throughout their time in the house, with the will-they-won’t-they relationship keeping the audience on tenterhooks.

Despite being in a love triangle with Matty Simpson, Jordan and Henry’s bond remained strong until the end, though some viewers have since questioned if the drama was fabricated for the purpose of the show.

Trish rubbished the claims in a video on Instagram Live, saying (via Metro): “I’m so excited for them. I’m always really proud of Jordan when he is able to step into his emotions, so that’s definitely an advancement for me. I love seeing them together.

“Also, guys, give them a break. I know that some of you question their intentions, but I feel like it’s all very new. Give them a chance. They’re still getting to know each other because, at the end of the day, all of us have known each other for less than six months and you have to bear that in mind.”

Jordan recently hinted that there had been a development in his relationship with Henry, teasing that the pair were now an item in an Instagram post, writing: “The term 'bf' might now be applicable... And I cannot stop smiling.”

The pair previously spoke exclusively with Digital Spy following the conclusion of the series, with the duo teasing what would lie ahead for them, as Henry said: “We have many trips planned. We're also planning a night full of wine and building LEGO, which sounds quite bizarre.”

Big Brother will return next year on ITV2 and ITVX, along with a new series of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV1 and ITVX.
