Bradford body latest as fire service issue statement with two arrested

West Yorkshire Fire Service sent three crews to an address on Shetland Close, Bradford, yesterday after police called for assistance.

Police confirmed a man was found dead and two people, a man and a woman, were arrested following reports of a “serious incident” at the home.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to an address on Shetland Close at 3.57pm today (April 16) to a report of a serious ongoing incident.

“A man was found deceased, and a man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the matter. Initial enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what has occurred, and we can promise the incident will be fully investigated.

“Local officers will be conducting reassurance patrols in the area.”

Enquiries into the circumstances of what happened are ongoing, however, West Yorkshire Fire service have said they were called to assist, with reports that a fire had been started near the body.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire Service said: "We were called to assist police at 15:54 yesterday. We sent three crews (two from Bradford and one from Shipley)."
