Bradford Bulls swoop for released Hull FC prop in latest major squad addition

Franklin Pele has joined Championship outfit Bradford Bulls after agreeing a release from Hull FC. The 23-year-old prop forward has signed for the West Yorkshire club until the end of the current season, with his two-year deal with Hull ending with immediate effect this week.

Pele has recent Championship experience, having played two games on loan for York Knights. However, it's the Bulls who have made a quick and efficient move to sign the player.

The prop will join Jayden Okunbor at the former Super League club. The Australian edge player was also one of the Black and Whites' new overseas signings ahead of the 2024 season, recently extending his stay at Odsal by a further four weeks.

The Bulls, meanwhile, have been recruiting extensively in recent weeks and, over the course of the season, have signed a number of overseas players. They include Mitch Souttar, Tyran Ott, Zac Fulton, Max Lehmann, and, most recently, Scotland World Cup representative Logan Bayliss-Brow. They currently sit in fifth place on the Championship table after 11 rounds.

Pele, meanwhile, leaves Hull FC after playing eight games for the club. He scored one try.
