Brazilian Army Carries Out Helicopter Rescues in Rio Grande do Sul

The Brazilian Army carried out rescues by helicopter on Sunday, May 5, as the state of Rio Grande do Sul was inundated by floodwater.

Government officials said at least 983 people had been rescued from flooding, more than 120,000 were displaced, and over 850,000 people were affected since flooding began in late April.
