Boy, 14, arrested after teenager stabbed to death in 'shocking' attack in Bristol
Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in Bristol.
The 17-year-old male was found with a stab wound to his chest just before 1:30pm on Saturday on Mansfield Street in Bedminster.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the victim was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
A postmortem examination and formal identification of the victim will take place at a later date.
The unnamed boy was arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Phil Walker, from Avon and Somerset Police's Major Crime Investigation Team, said the investigations were ongoing.

He said: "Our thoughts are with the boy’s family as they come to terms with their loss and specially trained family liaison officers will be providing them with support. We believe this is an isolated incident involving people known to each other.
“I’d like to thank local residents for the support they provided to officers yesterday and the patience and understanding they showed us as cordons were put in place while we responded to the incident.
“I appreciate this incident will shock people and neighbourhood officers will be patrolling the area to provide reassurance.
“Should anyone have any concerns about this incident I encourage them to contact their local neighbourhood team or visit their local police station.”

In a separate incident also on Saturday, just two miles away an 18-year-old male was stabbed in an incident in South Bristol.
Police said they are investigating the attack, which happened in Queens Road in Bishopsworth, towards Withywood, just before 6.45pm.
The victim is recovering from his injuries in hospital.Two males, aged 16 and 18, were arrested in connection with the attack.
The two incidents are believed to not be related.
