Bullmastiff rescued from conservatory 'woof' after climbing out of window

A large dog had to be rescued from a conservatory roof after apparently climbing out of an upstairs window.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted pictures of Ruby, a tan-coloured bullmastiff, sitting on the conservatory some 11ft above ground while emergency crews and the owner tried to get her down.

The animal’s adventure ended well after they managed to get Ruby down and she was pictured back on solid ground with firefighters, whose tweet described it as: “A first for most of the crew”.

The interesting incident elicited surprise and the inevitable comedy responses from fellow Twitter users.
