A young Essex girl has gone missing from Basildon and police are concerned for her welfare. Essex Police are looking for 17 year-old Casey Dowling Anderson who’s missing from the town.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "She’s described as 5ft 9ins tall, of large/medium build, and likely to be wearing a blonde wig, a pink vest top, pink tracksuit bottoms, slippers and carrying a black bag.

"Casey’s missing from the Tuppins area of Basildon and we’re worried about her so need to find her to make sure she’s ok. If you’ve seen her, are with her or have any information about where she is please call 999 quoting incident 1369 of 1 July."

Update: Essex Police confirmed at 1pm on Tuesday that Casey had been found.
