Cars Plow Through Floodwaters as Slow-Moving Storms Cause Road Closures and Evacuations in Las Vegas

Cars plowed through tire-high floodwaters in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on Friday, June 21, after slow moving storms caused flooding and multiple road closures, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage recorded by @adjectivenoun shows flooding on 7th Street.

Local media reported that the flooding had caused evacuations in parts of Las Vegas.

Residents within 250 feet of the Gallinas River were also asked to evacuate to safer areas.
