Central Park Newcastle drinks prices as Euro 2024 Fan Zone opens ahead of England game

It's back in style for another year and now Central Park is open for business as Euro 2024 kicks off. And the question on many supporters' will want the answer to if they're planning on heading along for a game, is how much they can expect to pay for a drink.

It was in 2021 when the huge city centre beer garden first launched in Times Square, with it proving to be very popular for the delayed Euro 2020 that summer, three years after Live from Times Square and its big screen proved massively popular for the World Cup 2018.

Since its debut in 2021, Central Park hosted a Fan Zone for the Women's Euros, with a large crowd flocking to see the Lionesses beat Germany in the final, as well as an indoor version for the much chillier winter World Cup at the end of 2022. And now, as fans hope that England can avenge their heartbreak of Euro 2020, when they lost in the final to Italy on penalties, Central Park has opened its gates again.

Final preparations were being completed when ChronicleLive headed down for a first look on Friday afternoon, hours before Euro 2024's first tie between home nation Germany and Scotland. And, as well as the huge screen at the heart of the actions and plenty of tables and standing areas, there are also a number of bars on site.

Food vendors this year include Poco Loco Mexican and there is also a stall for football merchandise and accessories.
