Many Gogglebox fans were asking a similar question as the latest episode aired on Friday.

The hit Channel 4 show has been on our screens for more than 11 years, having first aired on March 7, 2013. During its time on air, a number of families have come and gone, but some things have stayed the same.

Every episode has seen the Gogglebox cast members giving their honest opinions of the week's best telly, and every episode has had the same theme tune.

Since it first appeared on Channel 4, the track Perfect World by Kodaline has played over the opening titles at the start of each episode on Friday nights at 9pm. But the latest episode saw the tune undergo a makeover.

For one night only the theme was given a classic twist, having been rearranged into a piano medley by Kodaline frontman Steve Garrigan. A selection of Channel 4's most iconic theme tunes might sound a little different in the next few days, and it's all to celebrate the second series of The Piano, which begins on Channel 4 on Sunday April 28 at 9pm.

But some Gogglebox fans were unaware the change was happening, and took to social media when they heard the "new" theme. On X, formerly Twitter, Shannon said: "That theme tune was definitely different wasn't it I'm not going crazy?"

Mitchell said: "Is the theme tune different or am I hearing things?" Darren said: "Why have they changed the Gogglebox theme tune? Totally threw me off".

Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4 and All 4
