Cheltenham Town have released nine players following the conclusion of the 2023/24 League One campaign.

New contract offers have been made to goalkeeper Luke Southwood, forward George Lloyd, left wing-back Will Ferry, defender Sean Long and midfielder Liam Sercombe.

Southwood is almost certain to move on, despite breaking his leg in the final day defeat at Stevenage, which consigned the club to relegation to League Two after three seasons at the higher level.

Lloyd and Ferry both have interest from elsewhere, but a compensation fee would be required to prise Ferry away because he is under 24.

Defender Tom Bradbury has triggered a clause for a new deal at Whaddon Road, while midfielder Tom Pett's extended contract has already been agreed.

Academy midfield players Freddy Willcox and Brandon Liggett have both been offered professional contracts.

Of the players released, Curtis Davies is expected to retire from football at the age of 39.
