Cold Feet revival gets a hilarious new teaser trailer

It looks as though ‘Cold Feet’ is finally back…

A hilarious, football-themed teaser trailer for the long-awaited ‘Cold Feet’ revival aired last night… during halftime of the England v Croatia Euro 2016 match.

And it looks as though Adam (played by James Nesbitt) is having a tough time coming to grips with his now-teenage son’s revelation – that he finds football a bit boring.

Set 13 years after the original ‘Cold Feet’ aired its final episode, it looks as though Adam is struggling to bring up his son, Matthew… especially since they seem to have very little in common.

Not to mention, he’s doing it all alone.

Adam’s wife, Rachel (played by Helen Baxendale) was tragically killed off during Season 5. So not only has Adam had to raise his son without a mother, but Helen Baxendale will also be notably absent from the show’s revival.

And that’s a crying shame.

Still, her presence will still be felt, as ‘Cold Feet’ star James Nesbitt revealed there will be a special tribute to her character in the opening episode of the new series.

“To be without her has been sad really, we just wanted to get a little tribute into her in the first episode which I hope she sees,” he said. Quite what that means, remains to be seen… but thankfully, the remaining cast members will all be returning.

James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris, John Thomson and Fay Ripley will all be back… with ‘Waterloo Road’ star Ceallach Spellman as Adam’s now-teenage son, Matthew.

Will it recapture the magic of the original series?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but the first teaser looks promising.

‘Cold Feet’ returns to ITV later this year.
