College lecturers out on strike at both Greenock campuses

WEST College Scotland lecturers are back out on strike today over a long running pay dispute.

The EIS-Fela union members were on picket lines at both Finnart Street and the Waterfront campus as they continued to call for an improved settlement.

Industrial action has been taking place over the last couple of years as the union argues that the offer of £5,000 over three years is not acceptable.

The EIS and College Employers Scotland met last week for talks, but the employers say there is no new offer and the Scottish Government has no plans to provide more money for an improved deal.
