‘Thanks for everything. Your kindness and positivity is keeping us going.’
Hutchison, 36, was last seen at the Dakota hotel in South Queensferry at around 1am on Wednesday morning.
His brother Grant, the band’s drummer, has also confirmed that Hutchison did not have his phone with him at the time of his disappearance.
Police are now focusing their search on the area surrounding the Forth Road Bridge, after two men were seen crossing it at around 1.10am on Wednesday.
These two men are urged to contact police urgently, as they may have seen the singer.
Chief Inspector Alan Carson said: ‘It is important to stress that at this time we do not know definitely where Scott has headed after leaving the Dakota hotel, and the assistance of the public is therefore vital to help us with the investigation’.
Hutchison is described as white, 6ft tall with a stock build, dark hair and a thick beard.
He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a navy hooded jacket, grey or khaki trousers and white trainers.
Posting on Twitter at 10.50PM last night, Hutchison wrote: ‘Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones.’
