Is Sunita haunting the Street?
Bernie and Paul join the Alahans for a memorial dinner to remember Sunita. But events take a spooky turn when Asha notices a bubble of light hovering over a picture – all of which leads to Bernie suggesting that it could be a human spirit. But Dev is quick to close shut down her superstitious talk.
The next day, Aadi notices that a photo of him and Asha has moved and now faces a picture of his mum. Bernie has a theory that this is due to Sunita’s restless spirit causing the photograph to shift position, but Dev still refuses to entertain these fanciful notions.
Last orders at the Rovers?
The Rovers is struggling financially, so Owen’s suggestion to Jenny is that she should reduce portion sizes. But how will the all-new smaller hot pots go down with the punters?
The situation is set to worsen by Friday, with the regulars finding that prices have been hiked, while the staff discover that their hours have been cut. Gloom then turns to outright despondency when nobody turns up for a planned darts night at the pub, with Kirk, Gary, George and Sean all later found drinking beer and playing darts in Ed’s back yard.
As a result of this, a tearful Jenny is left confiding in Daisy that, with business plummeting, they’re just weeks away from having to close the doors of the Rovers for good.
Ryan is a social media star
On Monday, Ryan calls in at the Rovers to offer an apology to Daisy, and the pair end up joining Jenny, Carla and Maria who are raising a toast in Johnny’s memory. Carla then take some selfies on Ryan’s phone and uploads them, but inadvertently includes a naked torso shot of Ryan, which leaves him furious.
By Wednesday, though, Ryan has reconsidered and will be seen showing Peter his new social media account and explaining how he posts pictures of his gym body without revealing his face and has already received hundreds of likes.
But will this positive feedback result in him taking more steroids?
