Yahoo News Coronation Street's Lauren star shares fresh message amid exit and says 'miss you'
Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has shared a fresh message to another of her former colleagues amid her exit. The actress hasn't been seen on the ITV soap for months after her character Lauren Bolton suddenly disappeared.
The teenager was last seen on February 23 after being sacked from her job at the cafe by Roy Cropper. The cafe owner later visited her with her wages and some extra cash to tide her over before the character was later visited at home by a mystery person who viewers never got to see.
Since then she's been nowhere to be found. It was her new friend and love interest Bobby who discovered she'd gone but wasn't taken too seriously when he filed a missing persons report.

However, things soon changed when blood was found in the flat she had occupied and with DS Lisa Swain involved, she set about finding the culprit behind Lauren's disappearance and soon launched a murder inquiry.
And it was Roy, played by David Neilson, who quickly became DS Swain's prime suspect after he emerged as the last person to see her alive before he misguidedly deep-cleaned Lauren’s flat in a bid to help his friend Evelyn Plummer who was sub-letting the precinct flat. He has since been charged with Lauren's murder and refused bail as the police investigation continues.
Fans have previously shared their thoughts that Cait had quit the soap as Lauren. Over on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one eagle-eyed viewer noticed something unusual about actress the new soap star's Instagram page.
Alongside a snap of her profile, they wrote: “Has Lauren officially left? The actress's Insta bio,” along with a confused face emoji. In Cait’s Instagram bio, it now reads “previous Lauren in @coronationstreet.” However, this hasn't been announced by Corrie with plans for the storyline to run through to the summer.
But the young actress is still speaking to her co-stars and on Wednesday (April 17) posted a message for Claire Sweeney as the Cassie Plummer actress celebrated her 53rd birthday. Resharing a glamourous picture of the soap star, Cait wrote on her Instagram Story: "Happy birthday to this queen @claire.sweeney [red love heart]. I miss ya [red love heart]."
It comes after Cait previously hinted that she's still not yet back filming on the cobbles as she shared a sweet message to co-star Julia Goulding on her birthday. She had taken to her Instagram Story with a snap of the pair, showing them beaming in their Corrie branded coats in the Roys Rolls set.
Alongside the post, Cait wrote: "Happy birthday to this beautiful lady." She then added: "I miss and love you dearly," and Julia, who plays Shona Platt in Corrie, then reshared the post with a face surrounded by hearts emoji.
