Motorists faced delays this morning after a car crash closed a road for over an hour.

Hertfordshire Police were called at around 7.20am (June 21) to reports of a crash in Eastbury Road towards the Bushey Arches roundabout.

It involved a man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a woman driving a Seat Ateca, who both remained at the scene.

The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and an ambulance was called for him as a precaution, although it is not clear if he was taken to hospital. The East of England ambulance service has been contacted for more details.

The crash forced officers to close the road until around 9.10am and one eyewitness told the Watford Observer the incident caused rush hour delays for drivers.

She said that traffic was moving “very slowly” in the area as no cars were able to enter the road from the Bushey Arches roundabout.

Another resident added that the closure had affected public transport as two 328 buses had not served the Eastbury Road stops this morning.
