Crews Rescue Man Stuck Under Pier in Manhattan

Police and fire crews in New York City rescued a man they said was stuck in cold water underneath a pier on the Hudson River on Tuesday, April 16.

Bodycam footage released by the New York Police Department (NYPD) shows several rescuers lowering themselves into the water before helping the shivering man out with a ladder.

In the video, the man could be seen on a stretcher after being rescued from the water.

Storyful contacted the NYPD to ask why the man was in the water, but police did not further explain the circumstances of the video. Credit: NYPD via Storyful
