Nando’s restaurants ran out of chicken after the bank holiday and people couldn’t cope
If you thought 2016 was bad – the new year is already off to a bad start because Nando’s has started running out of chicken.
Branches across Britain have run out of the restaurant’s prized dish, according to angry – and hungry – customers.
Among the towns where chicken shortages have been reported include Aylesbury, Bedford, Leamington Spa and Dalston, in London.
Worried customers have even taken to social media to make the country aware of the emergency.

“This is an SOS. Leamington Nando’s has run out of chicken.” tweeted Lillie Bleasdale.
Branches including Dalston, Bedford, Aylesbury and Leamington-Spa were hit by a shortage of their signature meat, restaurant-goers claimed on social media.
And, according to the London Evening Standard, @leonieb53 tweeted: “@NandosUK #dalston how can nandos run out of their signature meat? What do u mean you’ve RUN OUT of chicken fillets whilst I’m sitting here.”
Another frustrated wannabe chicken-eater posted a photograph of a menu, which showed the famous restaurant chain, which was founded in South Africa 30 years ago, was out of food.
A spokesman for the company told the Standard that the Aylesbury branch had run out of chicken after the bank holiday.
There was no explanation for the other shortages.
