Yahoo News Doctor Who's Millie Gibson shares the "terrifying" scene she wanted to end while filming
Doctor Who star Millie Gibson has revealed there was a scene so "terrifying" that she wanted to stop it during filming.
The BBC show will return later this week with a double-episode premiere as the Time Lord (Ncuti Gatwa) and companion Ruby Sunday (Gibson) embark on a collection of intergalactic and time-travelling adventures.
Ahead of the launch, Gibson teased elements of the series – revealing that one of the scenes left her petrified during filming, an emotion that will carry through when she watches the episodes as it airs.

"There's a scene, which is in the trailer, where we are running away from a monster. I was genuinely thinking, 'Oh my God, when are they going to say "cut"?' It was terrifying,' she explained.
Gibson, who previously played Kelly Neelan on Coronation Street, also spoke about her experiences with previous episodes of Doctor Who – revealing that one iconic villain left her scared as a child.
"I remember when I was about seven, my mum took me to the Doctor Who Experience," she recalled. "It was the Weeping Angels and monsters like that.
"I was literally sweating, terrified. My mum was saying, 'Isn't this great?' And I replied, 'No, it's absolutely terrifying!”
Naturally, the Doctor and Ruby's adventures will take them to many different locations and time periods, with the second episode, 'The Devil's Chord', incorporating the medium of dance.

The stylistic choice led to cameos from Strictly Come Dancing stars Shirley Ballas and Johannes Radebe, with Gibson reflecting on the experience in a recent interview.
"I just remember reading [episode two] 'Devil's Chord' and getting the biggest goosebumps," said Gibson. "It just seemed like this incredible episode, and I was like, wait, we dance with Johannes and Shirley from Strictly, okay.
"It's just the craziest thing, and it was crazy to film it, but it was just equally as special. That day we were dancing with them, we had a ball. We had so much fun. [Dancing] wasn't included in the audition process, let's just say."
Doctor Who will return for its 14th series on May 11 at midnight, airing on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Classic episodes of Doctor Who are available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
