President Trump has ended up sleeping in a government-owned guesthouse in Hamburg for the G20 summit- after the White House failed to find him a hotel.

By the time Trump’s team called round the city’s luxury hotels, they were booked by other world leaders, Buzzfeed reported.

Trump’s team reportedly went for the Four Seasons as a first choice – but it was already booked by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and his huge entourage.

At one point, Trump’s team reportedly considered staying in Berlin and using a helicopter to ‘commute’ to the G20 summit.

Berlin hotels were reluctant to host Trump’s team with a spokesman for the Berlin Intercontinental saying, ‘In this case, we say clearly: No, he does not stay with us.’

Instead, Trump’s team will stay in the official Senate guest house of Hamburg, according to an Associated Press report.

The US Consulate General in Hamburg will reportedly host Trump’s staff.
