EastEnders fans are convinced Mick Carter is returning to the BBC show after Danny Dyer posed for a selfie alongside former co-star Kellie Bright.

Danny, 46, bowed out of Walford at Christmas 2022 after he was lost at sea following a bust-up between Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) and Linda Carter. Mick jumped into the sea to save both women from drowning, but he never surfaced, nor has he been seen since.

Mick was later "presumed dead" by authorities after his body was never recovered from the water leaving Linda devastated. But taking to Instagram on Wednesday, May 22, Kellie shared a sweet selfie alongside Danny sparking rumour that The Queen Vic landlord is returning to EastEnders.

In the snap, Kellie and Danny sit side-by-side as he put his arms around her shoulder. They both look into the camera with a big smile as they enjoy their reunion.

Kellie, 47, captioned the image: "A little photo of me and @officialdannydyer for all the Mick and Linda fans out there", followed by a love heart.

The post instantly sparked a rumour that Danny is returning to Walford as Mick, with one person writing in the comments: "Great pic of you two. Hope to see Mick back in the square soon. Your El needs you Mick."

A second stated: "The best duo. Mick and Linda forever", while a third chimed in with: "MICK AND LINDA REUNION." Another shocked fan added: "Is “my Mick” coming back!?!?!?", as another exclaimed: "Oh my lord".
