EastEnders Sharon's 'new man' revealed - and he's related to ex Phil Mitchell

EastEnders Sharon Watts’ new love interest has been ‘confirmed’ - and it’s another Mitchell brother.

The soap legend, played by Letitia Dean has had her fair share of love interests on the BBC One soap. Since making her debut in 1985, Sharon has gone on to have a slew of romances with Walford men.

Recently, she was left devastated after the death of fiancé Keanu Taylor - who was stabbed by Linda Carter after he attempted to strangle Sharon after learning her son, Albie wasn’t his.

Last week, Keanu’s funeral took place, with the event taking a toll on heartbroken Sharon. But things soon escalated between Sharon and former flame and baby daddy Phil Mitchell.

As fans will recall, Phil is the father of Sharon’s baby Albie - and Phil is now keen to be allowed into the tot’s life. In episodes last week, Sharon and Phil had a heart-to-heart - causing the pair to lock lips. Sharon has since attempted to brush it off - but it seems someone new is going to catch her eye.

Over in the soap this week, a brand new Mitchell family arrives Billy’s brother, Teddy, and his two children, Harry and Barney. And next week, Teddy takes a liking to Sharon.

Spoilers reveal that Phil and Teddy get on the wrong side of Sharon by leaving the gym in a state after a Mitchell drinking session. Later on, Teddy tries to win Sharon round by inviting her for a drink and laying on the charm.

Teddy and Sharon have a flirty drink, raising eyebrows from Stevie, who is not too keen about his son messing with Phil’s ex. When Teddy tries to convince Sharon to stay for another drink, she playfully rebuts him and heads off.

Actor Roland Manookian, best known for his roles in The Football Factory, RocknRolla and The Rise of the Footsoldier franchise, has taken on the role of Teddy. Elijah Holloway is playing Harry, and Lewis Bridgeman is playing his younger brother Barney.

Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw said of the new Mitchells: "I'm delighted to welcome Roland, Elijah and Lewis to EastEnders as we bring a new branch of the iconic Mitchell family to the Square.

“The arrival of Teddy, Harry and Barney will be a seismic shock for Billy and an unwelcome surprise for Phil. With their arrival sparking more questions than answers, it’s not long before the Mitchells find themselves at war as Teddy and his sons are thrust into the heart of the drama."

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
