Emily Blunt Explains How Taylor Swift Boosted Her Daughter’s Self-Confidence

Emily Blunt is grateful for Taylor Swift’s kind gesture to her oldest daughter, Hazel.

While appearing on The Howard Stern Show earlier in the week, Blunt recalled the superstar singer-songwriter meeting her kids and gushed that Swift is the “nicest.”

“She was so nice to my kids,” said the Fall Guy star. “My oldest kid had just cut all of her hair off. It was this very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about. And Taylor Swift goes, ‘God, look at you! You’re just like this ’60s beatnik cool kid. I love your style.'”

Blunt recalled that in that moment, she thought Hazel “was going to faint.” “It was the best thing anyone’s ever done for my child,” she said.

Stern, who has three daughters, was also touched by Swift’s act of kindness. “That’s so sweet that she did that,” he said. However, he pointed out that by being paid compliments by a megastar like Swift, Blunt’s children could “get a very big head” and asked what the actress and her husband John Krasinski are doing to “keep these kids leveled.”

Blunt noted that, to her daughters Hazel and Violet, it’s “normalized” to be around famous people, given that both of their parents are actors. “I think they’re relieved often to meet children of people in this job because it’s like a secret language of understanding how weird it is that your mom is known,” she explained.

Back in April, Blunt told Access Hollywood that she’s a “huge, colossal Swiftie” and is catching the Eras Tour in August. “I literally can’t wait,” she said at the time.
