Pop star Enrique, 42, shared a photo captioned ‘My Sunshine’ with one of the babies, while former tennis player Anna, 36, posted a picture of the other twin, also captioned ‘My Sunshine’.

The couple are known for being particularly private when it comes to their personal life and the media, so it was a nice surprise for fans when they teamed up to share their new arrivals with the world.

The famous pair were so secretive, in fact, that they even kept the pregnancy from the press during the entire nine-month pregnancy. People only began to suspect when the former athlete posted a video on her social media that apparently revealed a baby bump.

The long-term couple’s twins were born on 16 December, so have maintained a low profile over the Christmas period and into New Year.

Enrique and Anna first met on the music video for Escape – where she featured in a steamy encounter with the singer.

Despite being together for 17 years, the pair aren’t married. But, according to the Sun, the pop star feels like they are, saying: ‘We’re just as happy. There comes a point when you’ve been with someone for a certain amount of time that I believe that you are, like, married. I guess the only difference is that we haven’t walked down the aisle.’

He went on to say that he ‘never really thought marriage would make a difference’ and believes being a good partner and parent is more important than ‘a piece of paper.’

Many congrats to the new parents!
