ELECTRIC vehicle drivers can now charge their cars at a garden centre in Haresfield.

Six new EV charging points have been installed in the car park of Dobbies Garden Centre located off the Bath Road and near junction 12 of the M5.

The new addition includes two high power charging bays, and four medium power charging bays which feature CCS and CHAdeMO connectors.

Matthew Urbanowicz, manager for Dobbies, said: “We’re glad to be offering our customers a much-needed, sustainable amenity with our new charging stations.

“As more drivers are switching to electric vehicles, we are delighted to be opening the charging hub to provide the local community with easy to access affordable and fast EV charging.”

The new charging points were installed in partnership with GRIDSERVE as part of a national scheme with Dobbies.

Rebecca Trebble, chief customer experience officer at GRIDSERVE said: “We are thrilled to open another Electric Retail Hub with Dobbies.

“Fast and reliable charging at convenient locations is what is needed to give drivers the confidence to switch to electric.

“We look forward to welcoming all EV drivers to this great location.”
