All the events taking place in Coventry and Warwickshire this weekend

It’s another action-packed weekend around Coventry with a slew of events taking place around the region. If you're struggling to come up with ideas for what to do, we've got you covered.

From the Canley Parade to Leamington’s half marathon, there’s all sorts of options to get stuck in to. You can head out for some street food or experience some magic at a circus spectacular.

Here’s a look at what’s on this weekend and how to get involved.

Canley Parade

The Canley Parade is returning on Saturday and this year's event will highlight the local environment and the importance of community togetherness. The colourful celebration - this year themed around "Nurture Nature".

Festivities will kick off with the parade at 11am, beginning at Canley Community Church on Charter Avenue. It is due to end at Prior Deram Park at approximately 12.30pm.

The Big Lunch at Prior Deram Park will feature free food served by the Canley Pop Up Cafe and there will also be a variety of community stalls and activities for all ages.

Summer Circus Spectacular

Magic, music, mime and balloon modelling are coming to the Lower Precinct. The Summer Circus Spectacular is coming to Lower Precinct in the city centre. Centre manager Nic Demagalski said: "We are excited to bring such a dynamic and engaging event to the Lower Precinct. Our goal is to create an unforgettable circus-themed experience that will be the highlight of the summer for families and visitors of all ages."

It takes place on Saturday (22) from 11am to 3pm.

Warwick Pursuits Festival

The brand new Warwick Pursuits Festival will bring two days of music and top-notch food and drink to the historic city.

The festival follows a successful event in Stratford last month, which attracted thousands over the course of the weekend.

The festival will focus on history, literature, music, dance, the arts, sports and wellbeing and is designed to showcase some of the best independent street food vendors in the area.
Alongside family-friendly activities, there will be art installations, interactive experiences, workshops, live music from local acts and great food and drink.

The festival will take place at St Nicholas Park and entry is free.

Leamington Half-Marathon

The Leamington Half-Marathon will take place on Sunday, in the beautiful surrounds of the Royal Pump House Gardens.

Runners will head north out of Leamington Spa through scenic villages, passing farms and fields before descending back into the town.

The event has sold out for the past five years it’s been running, meaning a high chance it’ll be a busy fixture in the town’s calendar.
