Everlane’s Cashmere Tee Is Back in Stock (But Not for Long)

Is cashmere the best material on earth to wear? Survey says: 100 percent yes.

While you probably have at least a few cashmere turtlenecks or chunky sweaters in your arsenal (or at least some blends, check those fabric tags), we’re willing to bet that you don’t have any cashmere t-shirts currently folded in your dresser. But that’s all about to change, thanks to Everlane.

Everyone’s favorite direct-to-consumer brand first launched their cashmere tee back in August 2019 and it swiftly sold out. Turns out, everyone was really, really into the idea of an elevated basic that can actually be worn everyday. The top is officially back in stock today—but we don’t think it will be for long. For one, it’s offered in a veritable rainbow of very cool colors; the nine hues include a turmeric that reminds us of Alison Roman’s viral “The Stew” recipe, a pale lime that’s the definition of spring chic and even a camel color that looks so expensive. There’s also your basic black and white, both of which will easily become staples for anyone. By the way, the tee is only $90.

But wait, you might be thinking, why the heck would I want to wear a cashmere t-shirt? Won’t I be absolutely sweating in it?

The answer, my friends, is a resounding no. The Everlane staple is actually a great piece to wear in the awkward few weeks when winter hasn’t officially ended but spring hasn’t totally arrived. Cashmere covering your upper torso, but not your arms, will keep you feeling warm—but not too warm. Plus, it’s a well-known fact that this all-natural knit is really breathable, so you can still throw it on when the forecast reads 65 and super sunny.

Here, our favorite five colors of the cashmere tee that we will definitely be shopping ASAP.
