The St Ives branch is the latest Lloyds bank that is set to close its doors for good. It is one of 28 Lloyds bank closures taking place between October this year and June 2025.
The branch on The Pavement in St Ives will shut up shop in around eight month's time, on February 24, 2025. According to a 'closure branch review' by Lloyds, the proportion of individual customers carrying out transactions at the counter in this branch fell by 51 percent between 2019 and 2024. The decline was 61 percent for business customers.
Cashpoint transactions at St Ives' Lloyds dropped by 44 percent for individual customers between 2019 and 2024, and by 45 percent for business customers. The nearest Lloyds banks for St Ives residents once this one has closed will be in Huntingdon and Cambridge.
