Exact time thunderstorms will batter Glasgow today as Met Office issues yellow warning
Glasgow is set to be battered with thunderstorms from this afternoon, Monday May 6, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning.
From 1pm until 9pm, the city is to face heavy rain, thunder and lightning with disruption to travel forecasted.
The Met Office says that there is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.

There is also a chance of flooding in some areas which may lead to road closures.
The yellow warning affects Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, North and South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.
It reads: "Thunderstorms and heavy downpours are likely to break out in some places this afternoon and evening.
"Although not all places will catch these storms and downpours, where they do occur 20 to 40 mm rain may fall in some places in an hour or two.
"If you find yourself outside and hear thunder, protect yourself by finding a safe enclosed shelter (such as a car). Do not shelter under or near trees, or other structures which may be struck by lightning. If you are on an elevated area move to lower ground."
