Fast And Furious 7: All The Paul Walker Scenes That Were Created Digitally Revealed

We knew that after the tragic death of Paul Walker in a car crash in 2013 that digital trickery was needed to finish some of his scenes in ‘Fast And Furious 7’.

But we didn’t just HOW much of his performance was special effects until now, after a fan compiled all of the actor’s major scenes that were created solely with VFX – and the help of Paul’s brother Cody - on IMGUR.

Surprisingly, many sequences that featured the actor in close-up were digital, for example this scene with his character Brian and partner Mia. Can you tell it’s not really him?

Then there was this conversation scene with Brian and Vin Diesel’s character Dom Toretto. Visual effects supervisor Martin Hill said scenes like this were much more difficult than complicated action sequences.

It makes you realise how incomplete Walker’s performance was, and how much hard work went in to ensuring his character still had a meaningful role in the movie after his death. The work of the special effects artists is a fitting tribute to the late star.
