Flood Watch Issued for Southeast Texas as Region Braces for More Rainfall

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flood watch for parts of southeast Texas on Saturday, May 4, as rainfall continued to sweep the region on Sunday, May 5.

Video footage captured by Justin Aaron shows the flooding throughout Dayton Lakes, Texas, which he said was “engulfed” by increased water levels in the Liberty River.

The NWS warned of another round of showers and storms approaching from the west, which were forecast bring more rainfall to southeast Texas.
