Four Lads in Jeans go viral again - with a new landmark location

The 'Four Lads in Jeans' who broke the internet when their group picture became a meme have gone viral again with their trendy new look. The lads swapped their iconic tight jeans for baggier fits during a Bullring shopping trip.

Their new style was noticeably different to the infamous 2019 photo which showed them standing side-by-side outside New Street station on a night out. The image found viral fame a year later during the pandemic and inspired a thousand memes.

They became the poster boys for stereotypical British 'lads' with off-the-wall or patriotic takes. One viral post of them was captioned: "Anthony Joshua batters Muhammad Ali."

The four friends - Jamie Philips, Connor Humpage, Kevin Rooney and Alex Lacey - were also immortalised with a bizarre statue in 2022. And now they've made a comeback sporting their new drip in a picture taken with with Birmingham's bronze bull.

The image on their Instagram page, which has more than 23,000 followers, was captioned '2024 update thanks to the Bullring'. A video advertising the shopping centre showed the lads 'on a mission' to find 'the perfect pair of wide-leg trousers'.

Rooney joked he was "tempted to try skinny jeans on but the lads wouldn't let me". Their new look has already spawned hundreds more memes online with the group evidently taking it in their stride.

One person posted the new picture on X with the caption: "Hardest Geezer is sports personality of the year. All day. No contest."

When the four lads initially went viral, they spoke about how it had affected their mental health. But they eventually took the 'if you can't beat them, join them' approach to their internet fame.
