Full list of Lloyds, Halifax and Barclays branches closing next week including in Birmingham

Lloyds, Halifax and Barclays are set to closre of more than a dozen bank branches this week. Among them is one on Coventry Road in Sheldon, which becomes the latest to be lost in our region.

Several branches across the UK are set to close their doors, dealing another blow to customers. Among those closing are big-name lenders that are a common sight on UK high streets.

Barclays is set to close seven branches, while Lloyds will be closing two, according to LINK, which monitors planned branch closures across the UK. In addition, three Halifax branches will also be closing their doors.

This follows the closure of hundreds of building society and bank branches over the past year. So far in 2024, hundreds of sites have closed or are predicted to close.

Just last month, 56 branches closed for the final time. As customers increasingly turn to online banking to manage their finances, banks and building societies are looking for ways to cut costs.
