SKIPTON Little Theatre is playing host to Sutton's Green Hut Theatre Company this weekend.

An unforgettable evening of wit, suspense and laughter is promised with two farces based in the Little Grimley Theatre.

"This delightful comedy double bill promises an evening that you won't want to miss," said a spokesperson for Green Hut.

"In Murder in Little Grimley, the hapless amateur dramatic society finds itself entangled in a real-life murder mystery when chairman Gordon's attempt at writing a whodunnit takes an unexpected turn.

"Can the quarrelsome quartet navigate the treacherous waters of a criminal investigation and escape unscathed?"

The laughter continues with "The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley," as Gordon, Margaret, Joyce, and Bernard confront a new challenge in the form of a rival amateur dramatic society determined to steal the spotlight with an award-winning musical.

The spokesperson added: "Witness the hilarious hijinks that ensue as the Little Grimley gang devises a daring plan to outmanoeuvre their competitors, only to find themselves in a web of emotional complications and unexpected twists."

The double-bill takes place at Skipton Little Theatre from June 27 to June 29.

Evening shows 7:30 pm and Saturday matinee at 2pm. Adult tickets: £12; under 16s £6. Book at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/skiptonlittletheatre/e-ygklkv; telephone 0752 714 1176 or email skipton.little.theatre@gmail.com
