Gemma Atkinson has admitted she has a 'deal breaker' when it comes to her relationship with Gorka Marquez. It comes as the new series of their reality show aired to fans.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star's invited cameras into their family home, for series two of Gemma and Gorka; Life Behind the Lens. The engaged couple first met on the BBC dancing competition back in 2017.

It was announced earlier this year in January they would be allowing fans a glimpse into their personal life once more, following the birth of their son, Thiago. However, despite their seemingly happy relationship, Gemma notes she wouldn't be with Gorka on one condition.

Discussing her relationship 'deal breaker' during a Q&A session with fans following the return of the new series, the Hits Radio host admitted they wouldn't be together if he didn't like dogs, reports Manchester Evening News.

One fan asked Gemma: "It comes across on your show that Gorka doesn't like the dogs. Is it true?" Referring to their dogs Norman and Ollie and alongside a picture of the pair, she said: "If he didn't like dogs I wouldn't be with him!"

She added: "We come as a package. Love me, love my dogs," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. Gorka then reshared the post and gave his own response, writing: "YES!!! I love Norms and Olly but not as much as Gem does..." alongside a crying laughing and a face palm emojis.

Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, live with their two children, four-year-old Mia and Thiago, now nine months, in their stunning Greater Manchester home where the reality show is filmed.

In the show, the couple documented their second pregnancy journey and the "absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

The radio presenter and Gorka are used to being apart for long periods of time with work commitments. Explaining how she copes, Gemma said: "I'm really fortunate that my mum and my stepdad are retired, and they live literally 15-20 minutes away."

When asked if they ever get time to spend time together alone as a busy family-of-four, Gemma said: "We’re asked if we have date nights but we just love being at home. It's like the childhood punishment of going to bed early and staying in become adult pleasures.

"A date night for us, if my sister or mum can have the kids, is to go and do a big shop together in peace because you can't do that with kids. Gorka would cook the most amazing meal and we'll sit on the couch and watch a series or a film. And then we’d have an early night and wake up in the morning, go for a gym session and brunch - that’d be the ideal. We're not fussed about going to a restaurant, although we went out for sushi for our anniversary."

Gorka added: "We were in bed by 9.30pm! We love it. I'd rather wake up early and go for a coffee and a piece of cake or brunch in the morning when it’s quiet while everyone is still asleep because they had a late night. That's my perfect plan."
