George Clooney has revealed that he does not regret starring in the 1997 film Batman & Robin because it taught him a valuable lesson.

The actor played Batman alongside Chris O’Donnell’s Robin in the movie, which is often ranked among the worst ever.

Clooney previously said of the project: “I think we might have killed the franchise.” He also called it "a waste of money".

In a new interview in The Guardian, Clooney was asked what he would do differently if he could live his life again.

“Now, the obvious answer to your question would be to joke, Batman & Robin,” he said. “And I wouldn’t do it at all.” Adding that the movie was an important lesson, he said: “I learned that if you’re gonna be held responsible for a film, instead of just being an actor in that film, you’d better pick better films.”

In the same interview, Clooney recalled the time Boris Johnson compared him to Hitler.

The actor is currently promoting his film, The Midnight Sky, which he stars in and directs.

He recently revealed that he was taken to hospital with extreme stomach pains after losing almost two stone for the Netflix sci-fi movie.
