The music icon tragically passed away on Christmas Day and was buried on Wednesday at the Chapel of Rest in a private ceremony attended by less than 200 close friends and family.

According to the MailOnline, his 40-year-old boyfriend was seen arriving at the north London cemetery in the back of a car dressed in black shortly after 2pm, joining a number of the star’s high profile friends who include Kate Moss, Geri Horner, Martin Kemp and Boy George.

Fawaz, a photographer, was notified of the funeral by a journalist as he was out walking in Camden, north London, this morning.

The date and details of George’s funeral were kept tightly under wraps but earlier today at least 16 blacked out limousines were seen arriving at the cemetery as drivers held up numbers printed on paper and security staff on the gates let them through.

Former Spice Girl Geri is believed to have read George’s eulogy.

Geri and George used to be incredibly close.

The service was arranged by Michael’s sister Melanie Panayiotou and Fawaz had previously claimed that he had been left out of the loop in regard to the funeral arrangements.

The star’s burial was delayed for 94 days while toxicology tests were carried out and it was discovered that he died from natural causes consisting of myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, and he had a fatty liver.

Oxfordshire’s senior coroner Darren Salter said in a statement: “Inquires into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post mortem report received.

“As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further inquiries.”
