Gladiators star Jet has come out and has revealed she is marrying a lady she met at the supermarket.

The TV star – who was a favourite on the 90s sports entertainment show – said she met the woman, Zoe, while she was out shopping.

Opening on the Chillin’ With Ice podcast, she said she had previously experienced domestic abuse, saying it was “really horrendous” and that “it just put me off relationships and everything for life”.

“I’m safe and I’m loved and there is no threat to me any more and that’s what means the world to me,” she went on.

Youdale, who is now a trained psychotherapist, also asked the podcast host if she wanted to meet her fiancée, with Zoe then joining her on screen for the Zoom chat.

The 53-year-old had an army of fans during her time on Gladiators, which she starred on from 1992 until 1996.
